Leaving San Diego… For Good

All good things must come to an end.

With excitement and bit of trepidation, March 11, 2019, marked the end of an era… at least for me personally.

After 38 years of calling San Diego, CA home, I am leaving… potentially never to return (for any significant length of time, anyway). The move to Europe (beginning in Valencia, Spain), to my mind, is intended to be a very long term situation.

San Diego is the place I finished primary school, attended Jr. high and high school, went to Jr. college, fell in love (many times), got married (once, just to clarify), raised a family and both began and finished a career in technology.

There were lots of good times… the Jr. college years at Southwestern Community College, working at The Broadway department store in Chula Vista.

… and some tough times too… being away from the girls during the early days of the divorce and paying off the debt come to mind.

I made a lot of friends

… and a lot of memories. So, of course, I will miss San Diego, but…

All good things must come to an end.
