I’ll be honest-I hadn’t heard of Ljubljana until I started researching our Croatia trip and decided to start it in Slovenia, but I’m so glad we spent a few days here soaking in the atmosphere and enjoying the city.
It seems like the cafes along the river through Ljubljana are always full and you’re really spoilt for choice with bars, cafes and ice cream stands with seats overlooking the water on either side. Our hotel was right by the river and we enjoyed sitting outside with a drink and doing a bit of people watching. We also enjoyed people watching from above, as our hotelm Vander Urbani Resort, had a rooftop infinity pool. (It was a bit of a birthday treat).
